I’ve done it. I have finally discovered the perfect camera bag. It appeared on my Instagram feed as a sponsored post, so actually, it discovered me.
The Brevitē Jumper Photo. Retailing at $129 and available in ten colors, this backpack is a photographer’s dream with a laptop sleeve, side, and bottom tripod straps, and removable padded dividers to customize a compartment for your camera, lenses, and drone.
A few of my other favorite features include the back-panel pocket, perfectly sized for passports, boarding passes, and smartphones, a side door for quick access to your camera, and a luggage passthrough for travel.
Putting it to the Test
I received mine about a week ago and immediately took it with me on a day trip to Clearwater. I positioned the dividers to fit my Canon 5D Mark IV with a 50mm lens snuggly, making sure to allow side door access. In the front pocket, I packed gum, my keys, sunglasses, an extra battery, and an SD card all in their own mesh compartments. Finally, my wallet, mask, and umbrella went through the main entrance, resting on top of the dividers.
This setup worked great. I was able to keep both my hands-free for taking pictures while still having easy access to all my belongings. And, when it started to rain, I didn’t have to worry about my equipment getting wet because the bag is weatherproof.
Next, I took it to school. I removed the dividers to create one large main compartment so I could fit a binder, computer charger, and wallet. I also utilized the laptop sleeve for my MacBook and the front pocket for some pens. Normally, I walk through campus with my hands full, between my water bottle, keys, and phone, but with the back-panel pocket and expandable water bottle pocket, I was able to, once again, go hands-free.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a discreet camera bag that will fit everything you need for a day trip, the Brevitē Jumper Photo is the bag for you. In a market with many ugly or expensive bags, it really stands out, and based on the number of times a year it sells out, it’s clearly a fan favorite. They are always running deals so if you’re planning on picking one up, don’t pay full price.
